Max Barker — Wow! What a game. I am just experiencing unity for the first time and all I can say is I’m annoyed I was put off about it in the past. I heard a lot of controversy about this game but honestly don’t listen, I would happily put it number 1 as best Assasins creed game. My reasons (just my opinion) -I loved the parkour and how fluent it is will extra flair compared to most Assasins creed games. -the stealth is amazing with loads of options and gadgets with satisfying assassinations and take downs. -when not using stealth the combat is simple, effective with the standard parry and attack which is great. -the graphics and atmosphere rival games that come out nowadays which is impressive as the game is 10years old. Conclusion: overall just play it you won’t regret it and you will enjoy every satisfying assassination with a grin on your face. 🙂

Ava Wegmann-Gatarz — This game was good, not great. The graphics are pretty good, but they can be buggy sometimes. The free running was really good and quite entertaining. However, the story was the most lackluster story I’ve ever experienced in a game. AC Unity does almost nothing to explain what’s going on and there are so many twists and turns, I completely lost interest. The final boss fight was lame and I beat it in less than 5 mins. Overall, the game is okay but if you have the option to get another game like Origins or Odyssey, I’d go for those instead.

Randy Mcphee — I am just starting this game in 2021. Wow its stunning still feels like a very modern game cant believe how detailed and large the map is blows me away must have taken forever to create all the fine details and all the people are so realistic. Game play is awesome and the free running is amazing. 5 stars from me I have about 5 hours in and not even close to putting a dent on the map. Definitely get yours money worth and does not get old at all. Great job creating this well ahead of its time game.

Jose Hernandez — 8.0- Fun, lots of missions, Parkour was a joy and actually felt like an assassin, Élise was great too bad she dies in a stupid way. Arno was okay but didn’t quite connect with him like other characters, felt like a Ezio wannabe. The grind actually felt rewarding. Online missions took away from the story. The city of Paris is beautiful, and I’ve never been so immersed in a city like this. It feels vibrant and alive, with people walking around, chatting, and chaos in the streets, making it one of the most immersive gaming experiences. I also loved the time period, French Revolution. There was so many great historical characters and moments it’s had me googling new information every cutscene.

In Depth Review

Liam — I love Assassin’s Creed. Everything from the first game up to Black Flag are some of my favorite games ever. Seriously, you NEED to play Black Flag at least once and 100% it. I need to review that game. Anyway, Unity. Assassin’s Creed Unity is a giant mixed bag for me. On one hand, it’s a pretty above average game. On the other hand, its a below average, maybe average, Assassin’s Creed game. I will review it as both. So, to begin, THE POSITIVES. The graphics are pretty good, better than average. I just don’t care enough about graphics to really think too hard about it. The gameplay is actually pretty good (now the ways they have you utilize that gameplay is a different story…), and I do enjoy running around Paris. The stealth is nothing to write home about, just normal AC stealth. The combat is actually quite good though. It strays from what most games before did and just have the combat be mashing the X button and then pressing B a couple times. Now there are some actual complexities to combat, making th game more challenging and engaging. There are three different main weapon types: Heavy, Long, and One-Handed. They all have different advantages and disadvantages that make them interesting. I find myself using the one-handed weapons, because I prefer the smooth and quick style of gameplay they provide. But these types of weapons are not good for crowd management, and if you have an onslaught of enemies on you, you will struggle. but with a long weapon, you won’t. They can quickly clear groups of enemies, but aren’t the best for one on one fights. And my least favorite, the heavy weapons, are still pretty good. They are very useful in small groups because of how hard they hit, but because of their weight you attack very slowly. There also hand guns, snipers, blunderbusses, and guillotine guns. And my favorites, the bombs. You have smoke bombs, stun bombs, poison bombs (I think, but I could be misremembering poison bombs). I use smoke bombs so much, more than the actual guns. this game also has one of my favorite items introduced in the series: the phantom blade. It essentially acts a blow dart but much cooler. You can shoot a regular arrow to kill an enemy, or a berserk arrow to turn enemies against each other. Other small positives, the character customization, characters, and setting. Arno is a really fun character to play as, and I like his story of getting revenge on the people that ruined his life. One final thing, the setting of Paris is so amazing, I just love it.
